What can we say about Easter Sunday? Was a wonderful privilege to worship God with church family and friends. This was our reflection on the risen Jesus from Hebrews chapter one.
This last weekend many Christians around the world celebrated “Palm Sunday,” affirming the otherworldly claims Jesus made about himself (recorded for us in the New Testament). Some in his day too affirmed those claims, and others did not.
Pastor Adam here moved forward in Genesis 1 to talk about one of the things it means for humans to resemble God, to be made in God’s image. Helps us make some big picture plans for life. Also good to know, God has different plans for different kinds of people. And especially good to know, God forgives and restores people like us, who through ignorance or obstinance fell short of the general standard.
God gave us a mind, and so the best thing to think about and study is him. God gave us a heart, and so the best thing to love is him. God gave us mouths, and so the best thing to talk about and to talk to is him. Today, from Genesis 1:1-2, we study, love, and speak about mysterious “God” and the “Spirit of God”.
